Sshhh Lingerie was officially founded and registered, marking the birth of a pioneering brand dedicated to redefining sensuality and confidence in Africa.

Expansion, Innovation & Ownership

Successfully launched Sshhh Lingerie Abuja, becoming the first lingerie retail brand in Nigeria to expand across state lines.

A Brand is Born
  • The Braiding Vault (TBV) was founded and officially registered as a company.
  • March: Opened the first TBV salon location in Lekki, Lagos—built within 90 days.
  • March–December: Welcomed 670 clients in the first eight months of operation.
  • Achieved an average 23% month-on-month revenue growth.
New Branch Opening
  • Served 1,328 clients within the first half of the year.
  • March: Opened a second branch in Ikoyi, Lagos—completed within 90 days.
  • March–July: The Ikoyi branch received 584 clients in its first three months.
  • Initiated the TBV franchising documentation process.
  • Launched our first product line, “The VAULT” Hair Growth Kit.
  • July: Officially registered TBV UK in London, United Kingdom.

Mrs Joy Adesanya-Odunlami is the Group Managing Director of AJ Skylar Ltd, the parent company of leading lifestyle brands including Sshhh Lingerie Boutique and The Braiding Vault, with locations across Nigeria and London. Through these brands, Joy is on a mission to redefine how African women experience and embrace luxury—championing body confidence through intimate apparel and promoting healthy, protective hair care. Her vision was born from a desire to fill the gap for women seeking a premium yet personal shopping experience, with a focus on quality and exceptional service tailored to the African woman. A passionate advocate for philanthropy, mentorship, and nation building, Joy proudly supports local industry by sourcing fabrics and manufacturing products in Nigeria, driving a renewed appreciation for 'Made in Nigeria' excellence.
